This year Adora's Designed by Kids for Kids program set out to find our newest "Young Designer" who would help us design an outfit for our 18" Friends dolls - this year with a little twist; we needed a Beach themed outfit!
Our Designed by Kids for Kids program is a true example that even small ideas can make BIG impacts. We are so thrilled that we are now in our 3rd year, and still empowering young girls to get creative, design something they’re proud while also giving back to their community!
Several months ago it seemed like articles kept popping up on my Facebook newsfeed and Pinterest homepage about the dangers of telling your daughter she is beautiful, and how damaging it can be to her self esteem.
On our recent visit to Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, California we expected to go there to hand over the check that we were donating, since our Young Designer from the "Designed By Kids For Kids" program had chosen them to receive her charitable donation on our behalf.
